UM-IHC Participated in Invent the Future Expo

University of Maryland Institute for Health Computing (UM-IHC) researchers participated in the Invent the Future Expo, organized by the KID Museum in Bethesda, Maryland, on June 1, 2025.

UM-IHC’s exhibit featured an extended reality (XR) demo that transforms learning about the human anatomy into an immersive and interactive experience. The XR demo featured a human skeleton with high-resolution graphics, animated organs and informative content overlays highlighting essential body systems. Through engaging visuals and immersive interactions, middle and high school students—as well as their parents—had the opportunity to learn in an interactive environment that was both informative and fun.

UM-IHC researchers who helped run the exhibit were Sujal Bista, Sida Li and Olivia Mercurio.
