Research Symposium: Precision Medicine for Learning Health Systems

Welcome to the Precision Medicine: Learning Health System Research Seminar at historic Westminster Hall. As we all advance further into the era of computational science in health and human disease, new opportunities for collaboration are emerging every day. This symposium aims to showcase a small fraction of the cutting-edge, exciting research focusing on precision medicine that is ongoing in our academic community.

We set the stage for this event at the final resting place of Edgar Allen Poe, recognized by many as among the great literary champions of American history. This is true, although the venue is particularly befitting our day for another reason, as Poe was also an accomplished cryptographer and scientific theorist. His ideas as an analytic and cipher inspired many and laid the foundation for key works that arced world history. This Symposium will include presentations that carry on the spirit of Poe’s pursuits, while aiming to personalize them for disease prevention and treatment.

We hope that this experience stimulates new partnerships, multi-disciplinary adventures, and even new friendships. Welcome, and thank you for attending.
